This adapter fits over the Canon A640 lense and is long enough for the lense to be fully extended for zoom--this was an important concern for me before purchasing. This works fine for use with a wide angle or telephoto lense in combination with filters.When, using a wide-angle lens and polarizing filter, it is in the image of "porthole" to give the effect of expanding further, this effect disappears. Similarly, a telephoto shot not fully zoomed shows this porthole effect..
